When a permanent tooth is not erupting in its proper position, there are cases where early intervention is essential. A typical example is when a permanent tooth erupting in an abnormal direction dissolves the roots of the neighboring permanent teeth — in such cases, treatment is absolutely necessary.
At Yonsei Godeok S Dental Clinic, we run a permanent tooth eruption management program as part of our pediatric checkups, guiding each tooth to erupt into its correct position. Even highly difficult cases such as deeply impacted teeth are treated at a university-hospital level through collaboration between the orthodontic and oral surgery departments.
